Roland A. Roy, Jr.
Roland is the current Councilman in Lower Township's Third Ward. He has lived in Lower Township with his wife, Melissa, for more than 29 years and feels fortunate to have been able to raise their two children in our community. Roland has helped his wife operate a long-standing family business since 2001, which is when he retired from the Wildwood Police Department after 27 years of service. During his time with the Wildwood Police Department he served in several capacities - on elite squads, Patrol Sergeant and Squad Supervisor, to name a few. Roland has also been an active member of the Holly Beach Volunteer Fire Company for more than 40 years. Roland is a proven leader - past-President of the Holly Beach Fire Company, President of Cape Classic's Motorcycle Club, delegate to the NJ State Fireman's Association, member of the Cape May County Animal Shelter Advisory Board, Lower Township GOP Alternate Leader and Ward 3 Councilman - and is committed to the health, welfare and safety of residents, while still being committed to spending tax dollars wisely. Roland is proud to have been part of a team on Council that has made great strides over the past year, and he looks forward to serving Lower Township in the future.
The GOP, “Grand Old Party,” first took roots in 1854 with a small group of dedicated abolitionists gathered to fight against the expansion of slavery and in hopes of starting a Party dedicated to freedom and equal opportunity.
